He also serves as a Senior Advisor at the Validation Institute in Boston, where he was recently named 2025 Benefits Advisor of the Year. While working on the insurer and brokerage side of the industry, Donovan witnessed how the misaligned incentives between brokers and employers significantly undermined the financial and physical health of organizations. To counter the brokerage industry, Donovan founded Health Compass Consulting in 2018.
